As a Trend Engineer, you will support the implementation of project-specific cost control and reporting procedures. Your primary responsibilities will include preparing cost studies, analyzing cost trends, and developing project requirements for cost control. You will provide innovative solutions to cost engineering challenges while focusing on forecasting cost and schedule impacts, suggesting mitigation plans, and ensuring consistency with previous reports.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Undertake trend detection and reporting to the project management team.
  • Forecast impacts on budget due to trends, proposing mitigation plans as necessary.
  • Assist in change-related initiatives requiring detailed analysis and response planning.
  • Support the trend program schedule and initiate trend focus meetings across disciplines.
  • Prepare and analyze cost estimates and comparisons of scope, quantities, and cost data.
  • Perform productivity analysis of construction operations.
  • Develop innovative techniques to meet specific needs.
  • Monitor project development and flag deviations from the budget.

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree (or international equivalent) with 8-10 years of relevant experience, or 12-14 years of relevant work experience.

Required Knowledge and Skills:

  • Strong understanding of estimating methods, processes, and procedures.
  • Experience in quantity takeoffs, statistical analysis, and cost analysis.
  • Ability to understand and implement engineering drawings and financial reports.
  • Proficiency in Excel, with intermediate knowledge of functions like lookups and pivot tables.
  • Good communication skills for effective collaboration with project management.

Work Conditions: On-site, Full-time, Part-time teleworking (at least four days of in-person attendance per week)
