About the Job
The Cyber Security Advisor will evaluate the security of network-connectable devices and products, encompassing consumer, commercial, and industrial equipment systems. This role involves analyzing products under evaluation, developing and executing high-level penetration tests, and providing support and training to engineers on various evaluation projects. The Cyber Security Advisor will also focus on the security of software applications and connected technologies such as Industrial OT/IIoT, IoT, and more.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Conduct software penetration testing, including reverse engineering and protocol attacks.
  • Prepare formal reports aligned with customer and certification scheme requirements.
  • Develop advanced attack strategies using the latest tools and methods against embedded products.
  • Maintain and enhance technical knowledge through educational workshops, professional publications, and certifications.
  • Collaborate with the Project Management team to scope evaluations, identify resource needs, and meet customer expectations.
  • Proactively keep abreast of industry trends and convey insights to customers through publications and conference presentations.
  • Provide personalized support in project planning, training, assessment, documentation, and implementation.

Qualifications

  • At least 3–5 years of relevant work experience.
  • Strong understanding of industry best practices and frameworks.
  • Proven experience in customer-facing advisory services, particularly in product testing and certification methodologies.
  • Major competency in one cybersecurity domain (e.g., Risk Management, Asset Security, Network Security) with minor competencies in others.
  • Excellent communication skills and adaptability to various technical and organizational environments.
  • Collaborative, resilient attitude with a willingness to coach and share knowledge within teams.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to addressing customer needs.
  • Ability to travel internationally as required.
