About the Role Our AI Solution Architect will be the technical authority on Data & AI engagements in the Middle East, responsible for designing AI and agentic architectures and application modernization paths that bring client ambitions to life from concept to production. As part of the Data & AI team, the architect will translate business requirements into scalable, secure, and cost-aware solutions utilizing cloud, machine learning, and generative AI technologies. This role combines hands-on technical leadership with client-facing advisory work, offering an opportunity to shape reference architectures and develop the role based on individual experience and interests. Responsibilities Tasks may include but are not limited to: - Own the end-to-end architecture of data and AI projects, covering cloud infrastructure, data pipelines, model serving, generative AI, and agent-based systems. - Design agent orchestration and the model layer, including the selection and use of open-weight models. - Define application modernization paths that integrate AI into client systems and processes. - Act as the primary technical contact for senior client stakeholders, aligning designs with business goals, security policies, and applicable regulations. - Lead client workshops and present technical capabilities and architecture options to both technical and non-technical audiences. - Conduct architecture reviews and technical governance across workstreams, providing hands-on guidance to unblock delivery teams when necessary. - Design for production readiness, ensuring scalability, reliability, observability, and cost-effectiveness. - Support the scoping, architecture proposals, and effort estimation process to build and convert the project pipeline. - Apply AI compliance frameworks and responsible AI practices to every design. - Mentor junior consultants and engineers, contributing to internal IP, accelerators, and reference architectures. - Carry out other appropriate delegated duties as required. As part of a diverse and motivated team, you will be involved in various projects with clients covering topics such as: - AI and agentic architecture design for enterprise and government clients. - Application and data platform modernization on multi-cloud environments. - Responsible AI, governance, and compliance by design. Qualifications - Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, AI, or a related field. - 8+ years of experience in solution or cloud architecture, or a senior engineering role with significant design ownership. - Deep expertise in multi-cloud architecture (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, and/or Databricks), including networking, security, compute, storage, and managed AI/ML services. - Proven experience in designing agent orchestration and model layers, including open-weight models. - Strong understanding of classical machine learning, deep learning, generative AI, autonomous agents, and data engineering. - Demonstrable experience taking AI solutions from proof of concept to production. - Proven ability to engage with senior client stakeholders, lead workshops, and translate business needs into technical solutions. - Familiarity with AI compliance frameworks and responsible AI practices. - Strong judgment on architectural trade-offs under uncertainty. - Professional-level certification is highly preferable: AWS Solutions Architect Professional, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect, or Databricks Professional Data Engineer. - Management consulting experience is not required. - Professional proficiency in English is a must; Arabic is a plus. - Must be based in the UAE (Dubai or Abu Dhabi).
