About the Role
The Forward Deployed Engineer will be embedded with clients across the Middle East, turning generative AI prototypes into production-grade solutions that create measurable value in daily operations. Part of the Data & AI team, they will build beyond low-code, own the technical delivery of client builds, and act as the bridge between engineering teams and business stakeholders. This hands-on and varied role allows the engineer to shape their responsibilities according to their strengths, including agentic systems, enterprise integrations, and AI adoption.

Responsibilities
Tasks may include but are not limited to:
- Translate client business needs into scoped, deployable AI solutions with clear acceptance criteria and measurable outcomes
- Design, build, and deploy production-grade LLM systems, including RAG pipelines, tool-calling agents, workflow automation, and conversational interfaces
- Develop Python or TypeScript services, APIs, connectors, and integrations with client data sources and business tools
- Apply engineering best practices: code review, automated testing, CI/CD, logging, and monitoring; track quality, latency, and cost of AI components
- Deliver within governed enterprise environments, using approved libraries and services while respecting data access controls and security reviews
- Communicate trade-offs, progress, and risks to client stakeholders; escalate scope changes early
- Drive adoption through training, documentation, and knowledge transfer so clients can run the solution themselves
- Support business development by helping define client needs and shape technical solutions for the pipeline
- Contribute to internal accelerators, research, and training materials on generative AI and agents
- Carry out other appropriate delegated duties as required
As part of a diverse and motivated team, you will be involved in a range of projects with clients, covering topics such as:
- Generative AI and agentic solutions embedded in business processes
- Integration of AI capabilities into enterprise systems and data environments
- Adoption and capability building for client engineering and business teams
Qualifications
- Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, AI, or a related field
- 2 to 6 years' experience in software engineering or applied AI engineering
- Strong production experience in Python or TypeScript
- Experience with LLMs and agents running in production, not just prototypes
- Experience building RAG pipelines, tool-calling agents, and LLM workflows, with evaluation and safeguards
- Hands-on experience with applied AI frameworks such as LangChain, LlamaIndex, the OpenAI SDK, and the Anthropic SDK
- Experience building beyond low-code, including API design and integration across heterogeneous systems
- Experience deploying solutions on a major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud), with Git and CI/CD
- Experience working in governed enterprise environments (approved libraries and services, data access controls, security reviews)
- Ability to translate client needs into deployable solutions and explain technical decisions to non-technical audiences
- Professional proficiency in English is a must; Arabic is a plus
- Based in the UAE (Dubai or Abu Dhabi)
