As an Ubuntu Engineering Lead, you will take responsibility for your technical roadmap and be accountable for team growth and success. Our workplace emphasizes technical leadership, requiring managers to stay engaged with the code and lead engineers who guide software projects and team processes.
You will lead teams in:
- Elevating the Linux developer and user experience.
- Designing, building, and shipping high-quality software in Rust, Go, and Python.
- Demonstrating sound engineering principles through architecture, development, and code reviews.
- Collaborating with product management to define product vision and strategy.
- Mentoring and providing hands-on career development.
Key Qualifications:
- Strong academic background in Computer Science or STEM-related fields.
- Proven experience in technical leadership and software engineering.
- Proficiency in Rust, Go, Python, Flutter, or C/C++.
- Exceptional written and spoken English, with excellent communication skills.
- Ability to travel for company events, up to twice a year.
