- Leading teams to enhance the Linux developer and user experience.
- Designing, building, and shipping high-quality software in languages such as Rust, Go, and Python.
- Facilitating technical delivery and developing engineers professionally.
- Collaborating with product management on vision and strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Overseeing technical roadmaps and team growth.
- Planning, estimating, and executing projects.
- Mentoring engineers and offering technical feedback.
- Contributing to upstream open-source projects and refining technical documentation.
Requirements:
- Undergraduate degree in Computer Science or STEM, or a compelling alternative path.
- Proven leadership and coaching experience in software engineering.
- Significant expertise in Rust, Go, Python, Flutter, or C/C++.
- Professional written and spoken English.
- Results-oriented mindset with a commitment to meet deadlines.
- Willingness to travel twice a year for company events, typically lasting up to two weeks.
Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Experience in leading or contributing to open-source projects.
- Knowledge of Linux distributions and software packaging.
- Background in Performance or Security Engineering.
