The Resident Engineer and Project Manager is a hybrid role that combines deep technical expertise with strategic customer engagement. This position focuses on delivering high-quality professional services implementations across networking technologies while supporting customer success initiatives to ensure satisfaction, retention, and long-term value. After implementation, the primary function will be as a resident engineer, supporting customer networks daily and managing change.

Responsibilities

Professional Services (75% Year 1):
- Implement and manage projects.
- Assist Sales in scoping projects and defining deliverables.
- Provide onsite and remote implementation support.
- Maintain project documentation and serve as a technical lead and advisor during implementation.
- Liaise between sales and customers and collaboratively work with Extreme partners.
- Mentor team members and escalate customer issues responsibly.

Premier Resident Engineer (85% Year 2):
- Provide day-to-day operations and change management support.
- Serve as the focal point for all post-sales technical activities.
- Engage customers on product enhancements and conduct quarterly reviews.
- Support critical engagements and case management with the Extreme support organization.

Revenue-generating Service Projects (15% Year 1):
- Ensure customer satisfaction and support sales in pre-sales activities and post-sales engagements.
- Develop customer relationships that can lead to new service opportunities.

Knowledge Growth and Transfer (10%):
- Mentor peers and maintain operational documentation.
- Stay updated with industry trends and technical knowledge.

Sports, Venues, and Entertainment Accounts Only:
- Coordinate EVC documentation and provide event support.

Other Duties as Assigned (5%):
- Flexibility for travel and variable work hours is required.
Location
- Primarily based in Dubai, UAE, with possible support in other EMEA locations.
Requirements
- Fluent in English, with additional languages advantageous.
- 6+ years of expert experience in networking technologies.
- 4+ years of experience in security design and network analysis.
- Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to implement solutions effectively.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a focus on managing customer expectations.
- Willingness to travel and work flexible hours when necessary.
Desired Skills / Experience
- B.S. in Computer Science or a related field is preferred.
- Relevant network certifications (CCNA, CISSP, CCIE, etc.).
- Proficiency in Windows and Linux administration, application behavior, and basic project management.
- In-depth knowledge of Extreme technologies is a plus.
