Avrioc Technologies is seeking an experienced Unreal Engine Programmer to join our game development team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and testing game functionality using Unreal Engine. Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and test game functionality based on design specifications.
- Write clean, professional, and maintainable code.
- Continuously refine and optimize existing code.
- Schedule tasks and complete them on time while respecting milestones and deadlines.
- Produce prototypes of gameplay ideas and features.
- Communicate and collaborate with team members across various departments (e.g., Art, Design, Production).
- Conceive APIs, tools, and workflows to optimize the development pipeline.
- Expand existing projects for new hardware or devices if needed.
- Proactively address performance and stability issues.
- Promote knowledge sharing and best practices within the team.
- Identify bugs and propose solutions.
- Ensure high product quality in collaboration with Quality Assurance.
- Support game design ideas and implement proof of concepts.
- Mentor and support new team members.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience at a professional video game company.
- At least 2 shipped game titles as a Lead Programmer.
- Extensive experience with Unreal Engine 4 (Unreal Engine 5 is a bonus).
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a similar discipline, or equivalent work experience.
- Advanced C++ skills with strong architecture and low-level performance programming expertise.
- Excellent skills in 3D Math and Linear Algebra.
- Familiarity with modern object-oriented programming practices and processes.
Bonus Requirements:
- Experience with Unreal Engine 5.
- Experience optimizing C++/C# code for performance.
- Knowledge of multithreaded systems.
- Familiarity with any major third-party middleware (e.g., PhysX, SpeedTree).
- Experience with Perforce or other modern source control management practices.
