We are seeking a seasoned and visionary UX Research Team Lead to join our dynamic organization. As the UX Research Team Lead, your primary responsibility will be to manage a team of talented UX researchers and drive the success of our user-centered research initiatives. Additionally, you will play a crucial role in managing client relationships and ensuring the successful delivery of projects. Your expertise in UX research methodologies, leadership abilities, and strong communication skills will be essential in providing valuable insights, shaping user experiences, and leading our team to success.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic direction and thought leadership for UX research initiatives, incorporating industry best practices and emerging trends.
- Lead the planning, design, and execution of qualitative and quantitative research studies, such as user interviews, usability testing, surveys, and analytics analysis.
- Analyze research data, synthesize findings, and generate actionable insights that inform design and product decisions.
- Collaborate with designers, product managers, and stakeholders to ensure research insights are effectively integrated into the development process.
- Lead, coach, and mentor the UX research team on the project level, providing guidance and support in their professional growth and development.
- Set clear goals and expectations for the team and ensure successful execution of UX projects.
- Foster a collaborative and inclusive team culture that promotes creativity, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients, understanding their needs, and establishing strong working relationships.
- Collaborate closely with clients to define project requirements, objectives, and deliverables.
- Provide expert UX advice and recommendations to clients, ensuring their satisfaction and long-term success.
- Manage client expectations, communicate project progress, and address any concerns or issues that may arise.
- Oversee the end-to-end project delivery process, ensuring projects are delivered on time and to the highest quality standards.
- Define project scopes, timelines, and resource allocation in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- Collaborate closely with team members to ensure seamless integration of UX deliverables with other project components.
Key Requirements
- Previous experience in a leadership or management role, preferably within a UX research team or agency setting.
- Proficient in research methodologies, tools, and techniques, such as user interviews, usability testing, surveys, and analytics analysis.
- Strong understanding of human-centered design principles and user behavior.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and clients.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in UX research.
Key Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field such as UX research, human-computer interaction, psychology, computer science, or a related discipline.
- Proven experience (5 years) in UX research, with a strong portfolio showcasing your research expertise and successful project outcomes.
