We are seeking a UX Designer to join our Design System Team, where you will contribute significantly to making open source software accessible globally. This position focuses on ensuring that our software experiences align with our community's and customers' needs. As a UX Designer for our Design System, your responsibilities will include:
- Building and evolving the company's design system, ensuring measurable adoption, consistency, scalability, and accessibility across our products.
- Collaborating with designers, engineers, and stakeholders to translate user needs and brand principles into reusable components, patterns, and guidelines.
- Championing design system best practices and providing documentation and support for cross-functional teams.
- Designing and documenting UI components, design tokens, and interaction patterns.
- Ensuring timely delivery of the design system roadmap and advocating for accessibility, performance, and scalability in design decisions.
What We Are Looking For:
- Relevant experience in UX/product design, particularly with a strong emphasis on design systems in complex environments.
- A portfolio showcasing expertise in design systems, including component libraries and documentation.
- An educational background in design or a related behavioral science discipline.
- Proficiency in Figma, Storybook, and design token workflows.
- Experience collaborating with engineers, bridging design and code.
- An ability to apply design processes and communicate/document design decisions clearly.
- Excellent attention to detail and a systemic approach to complex design challenges.
- A commitment to transparent project delivery and owning team deadlines.
- A passion for balancing consistency and innovation.
- Willingness to travel up to four times a year for internal events.
Language Requirements:
Proficiency in English is expected.
