We are seeking a talented and technically minded UX Designer for Developer Experience to collaborate with our exceptional engineering teams. You will have a vital role in improving the ways software is built and distributed globally. This position will focus on designing and building tools that empower users to create, package, and maintain their software within an open-source framework.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and build tools for software development with a focus on open source.
- Collaborate with product managers and engineers to enhance developer experience.
- Support complex products with design and UX heuristics.
- Evolve and promote design systems for consistency and efficiency.
- Contribute to interconnected design efforts within Canonical.
Requirements:
- Exceptional academic track record, Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in User Experience, Design, or a STEM field.
- Passion for user experience, technology, and design.
- Commitment to continuous learning and improvement.
- Strong communication skills to effectively engage with engineers, designers, and executives.
- Ability to travel internationally twice a year for company events (up to two weeks).
As a UX Designer, you will be expected to present your design ideas clearly and confidently, tackling complex challenges while aligning with the company’s strategic vision.
