Responsibilities:
- Enable high-quality user experience by crafting copy that connects with consumers and guides them through each step of their journey.
- Collaborate with UX researchers, designers, developers, and the wider business at each stage of design, bringing ideas to life from drafts through prototypes to final copy.
- Define content strategy for a product and write clear and concise content across multiple touchpoints, including product names, labels, navigational elements, tutorials, user flows, and notifications.
- Deliver microcopy for functional interaction, focusing on orientation, hierarchy, and clarity in information architecture, wireframes, and interface designs.
- Create and maintain copy usage guidelines by documenting iterations.
- Assist UX researchers in writing clear questions for remote surveys and participate in user research to validate microcopy performance.
- Advocate for end-users while ensuring business requirements are met and continually researching best practices for UI copy.
- Enforce, incorporate, and comply with necessary controls and information security policies within departmental activities.
Qualifications:
- Preferred: Tertiary level qualification in Communication or a relevant field.
- Experience: 3 to 5 years in UX copywriting for digital products such as websites, mobile apps, or software interfaces.
- Portfolio: Demonstrates UX writing skills that produce copy driving specific outcomes.
- Skills: Passion for quality user-centered writing with attention to detail, knowledge of user-centered UX principles and practices, and competencies in business requirement mapping, design thinking, and digital literacy.
