UX/UI Product Designer

About the Role
We are seeking a UX/UI Product Designer to help shape our web applications, including our internal CRM, which is used daily by our coverage, product, and compliance teams, as well as our client-facing portal. You will join a small, high-trust technology team, working directly with leadership, business users, and engineers, giving you real influence over how our products look, read, and work.
This position is ideal for someone who has thrived in lean teams and is comfortable managing the entire process: from research and writing to design, prototyping, and delivery. Our applications are built in React with Material UI; we expect you to design within that framework and utilize AI-native tools to swiftly move from idea to working prototype.

Responsibilities

• Lead features end to end. Take features across our internal CRM and client-facing portal from initial concept to release, collaborating closely with the team to maintain a consistent user experience.
• Shape what we build. Work with the Head of Technology and business leads to frame problems, conduct lightweight discovery sessions with users, and write the requirements that will guide each build.
• Design the flows. Transform complex investment and relationship workflows into clear user flows, information architecture, and wireframes for data-dense, multi-step applications, validating them with end-users.
• Prototype quickly with AI. Convert ideas into interactive prototypes using AI-native tools like Lovable, Claude, Figma Make, or v0; use these prototypes to test with users and align stakeholders before engineering commitments.
• Craft the interface. Deliver polished, high-fidelity, responsive user interfaces to a premium, institutional standard across desktop, tablet, and mobile.
• Write the words. Take ownership of UX copy across applications, including labels, microcopy, empty states, error messages, and in-app guidance, ensuring a clear and consistent voice.
• Run the design system. Build and maintain a Figma design system of tokens, components, and patterns that align with our Material UI library, ensuring the design and code remain in sync.
• Ship with engineering. Collaborate with frontend engineers on feasibility and handoffs, review builds against design intent, and refine until what ships accurately reflects the design.
• Design for trust. Uphold the standards required in a regulated environment, incorporating clear permissions and states, safe defaults, and interfaces that responsibly manage sensitive invest and client data.

Requirements

• Experience. 5+ years of product design, preferably in lean, startup-style teams where you have owned projects end to end; experience in SaaS or fintech is preferred.
• Portfolio. Provide examples of live, complex web applications, ideally B2B or data-heavy, that showcase your process from problem identification to shipped interface, including the prototypes you built and the copy you authored.
• AI-native prototyping. Regular use of AI design and development tools such as Lovable, Claude, Figma Make, v0, or Bolt to create working prototypes, with the discernment to identify when a prototype is more effective than a static mockup.
• Figma and design systems. Expertise in Figma, including variables, tokens, component architecture, and auto layout, along with hands-on experience building a design system based on an established library like Material UI.
• End-to-end UX. Proven ability in discovery, information architecture, user flows, wireframing, usability testing, and iterative design.
• UI craft. A keen eye for typography, spacing, hierarchy, and detail, with a refined aesthetic and a solid understanding of accessibility (WCAG) and responsive design practices.
• UX writing. Ability to produce clear, concise interface copy; treating words as an integral part of the design.
• Front-end literacy. Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, and component-based React frontends: sufficient to read code and collaborate with engineers while specifying practical designs for development.
• Product sense and communication. Strong product judgment, including problem framing, weighing trade-offs, and effectively presenting and defending decisions to senior, non-technical stakeholders.
• Ownership. Self-directed, organized, and pragmatic about scope; capable of taking a feature from brief to release independently while collaborating closely with other designers and engineers, balancing speed with quality.
• Education and location. Degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience; able to work full-time from our Dubai office.

Nice to Have

• Financial services. Experience designing for asset management, private markets, wealth, or other regulated, data-sensitive products.
• Data visualization. Experience creating dashboards, charts, and dense tabular interfaces.
• Interaction and motion. Familiarity with dedicated prototyping tools such as ProtoPie or Framer, and knowledgeable use of motion to clarify state and enhance polish, without excess.
• Measurement and research tooling. Familiarity with PostHog, Hotjar, or Sentry replays, as well as Maze, Useberry, or Dovetail for testing and synthesis.

This is a permanent, full-time position based in our Downtown Dubai headquarters, reporting to the Managing Director and Head of Technology.
