Your Key Responsibilities
As a Manager, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Working closely with management on parts of the acquisition process or transformation plans.
- Undertaking financial modelling and valuations for strategic priorities.
- Advising clients on valuation issues related to acquisitions, divestitures, and restructurings.
- Providing fairness opinions on transactions and restructurings.
- Collaborating with management during acquisitions to assess the impact of acquired intangible and financial assets on accounting requirements.
- Providing fair value opinions for financial reporting purposes.
Skills and Attributes for Success
You will be expected to:
- Identify sources of value creation and quantify them effectively for clients.
- Exhibit a solution-oriented mindset and act as a Corporate Finance advisor, leveraging the company's capabilities to assist clients in solving issues and unlocking potential for value growth.
Qualifications & Experience
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, accounting, or engineering, with a minimum of 6 years of relevant work experience.
- A proven track record of solving complex problems, managing challenging projects, and developing strong client relationships in the Infrastructure sector.
- Experience in reporting to senior colleagues, handling business valuation, capital allocation, and portfolio optimization.
- Strong financial modeling skills, particularly in project finance models.
- A broad understanding of accounting principles and IFRS standards, especially regarding fair value measurements, business combinations, and impairment testing.
Ideally, You’ll Also
- Have previous valuation and/or financial modelling experience within a professional services/Big 4 firm.
- Have experience coaching teams of junior and senior staff.
- Have exposure to the Power & Utilities and/or other Infrastructure sectors.
- Be on track to obtain or have achieved a CFA qualification.
