The opportunity
The company is looking for a Manager to join our leading Valuation and Modelling and Economics practice, open to qualified candidates across the MENA region. We offer flexibility on the final hiring location for the right candidate.
Your key responsibilities
As a Manager within the Valuation Modelling and Economics team, your day-to-day activities will involve:
- Addressing commercial issues and working with management on aspects of the acquisition process and transformation plans.
- Conducting financial modelling and valuations aligned with strategic priorities.
- Identifying sources of value creation for clients and quantifying them in a commercial capacity.
- Advising businesses on valuation issues related to acquisitions, divestitures, or restructuring.
- Providing fairness opinions on transactions and restructurings.
- Collaborating with management on how acquired intangible and financial assets affect accounting requirements, including providing fair value opinions for financial reporting.
Skills and attributes for success
To excel in this role, you will need:
- A solution-oriented mindset to act as a true Corporate Finance advisor, utilizing the company capabilities to address client issues and unlock value growth.
- Strong analytical abilities to support complex problem solving and the development of client relationships in the Infrastructure sector.
- Autonomous capabilities with experience in reporting to senior colleagues and managing business valuation, capital allocation, and portfolio optimization.
- Strong financial modeling skills, including experience with project finance models.
- A broad understanding of accounting principles and IFRS standards, particularly around fair value measurements, business combinations, and impairment testing.
Qualifications & Experience
- A Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, accounting, or engineering with at least 6 years of relevant work experience.
- Proven record of success in challenges involving complex problem solving and project completion.
Ideally, you’ll also
- Have previous experience in valuation and/or financial modelling within a professional services/Big 4 firm.
- Have coaching experience with both junior and senior staff.
- Possess experience in Power & Utilities and/or other Infrastructure sectors.
- Have significant progress towards or achievement of a CFA designation.
