Vendor Manager, Softlines

We are currently seeking a Vendor Manager for Softlines who will be responsible for developing and owning the strategy for categories at the company.

In this role, you will establish and maintain strong vendor partnerships, manage category profitability, and identify means to improve the customer experience. We are looking for a seasoned business leader with strong analytical skills, the ability to lead and motivate a team, excellent business judgment, and a passion for creating a world-class shopping experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage a full P&L, including planning, forecasting, and driving growth for the category.
• Execute a strategic business development plan while collaborating with key internal stakeholders.
• Lead day-to-day operational aspects of the business, addressing customer and vendor feedback.
• Set goals and strategic direction for the category, ensuring alignment with broader business goals.
• Represent the company in meetings with senior teams from top vendors, building long-term strategic relationships.
• Drive business improvements and innovations within the category and across the Retail business.
• Collaborate on necessary systems and processes to support business needs, including marketing and merchandising initiatives.

Basic Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in retail, operations, product or program management, or business management/consulting.
• 3+ years of experience with Excel.
• Bachelor's degree or 3+ years of professional or military experience.
• Experience with financial analysis and P&L ownership.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience managing large data sets to drive performance and process improvements.
• Experience in vendor negotiations, pricing, promotion, inventory management, and product development.

Language Requirements:

• Must have strong communication skills to represent the company effectively.
