In this role, you will influence both internal and external stakeholders and leadership to align with your strategic direction, create a buying and sourcing strategy for a new category, ensure flawless execution, and continuously analyze key metrics to drive improvements. You will manage vendor relationships, enhance category profitability, optimize pricing, and develop your team.

The ideal candidate will possess leadership development skills, strong analytical abilities, excellent business judgment, vendor management and negotiation skills, and a deep curiosity about optimizing operations to create a world-class shopping experience for our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate closely with external vendors to build a seasonal selection and long shelf-life Fresh/Frozen product space.
  • Drive Amazon Ultra-Fast-Grocery (UFG) Retail business development from scratch.
  • Engage in negotiations to establish strategic partnerships and manage vendor relationships, ensuring successful operating model contracts across various categories.
  • Identify automation opportunities and improve key metrics such as selection, profitability, pricing, and availability.
  • Own the P&L responsibilities aimed at hitting top and bottom-line targets, leading projects to enhance profitability.
  • Source deals during key events to maintain value for Prime Customers and negotiate marketing funds from vendors for enhanced category visibility.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of Excel experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in retail, operations, product or program management, or business management/consulting with a proven record in negotiations and delivering results.
  • Experience in financial analysis and P&L ownership.
  • FMCG / Grocery / Commodities / Import vendor management and retail experience is essential.
  • Strong negotiation skills and ability to represent Amazon with external C-level executives.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience managing large datasets and utilizing them to drive performance and process improvements.
  • Experience in driving direction and alignment with cross-functional teams.
