Vendor Manager - Topical/Import, Amazon Now (AE)

About the Job: The MENA the company Now is seeking a Vendor Manager to take charge of building a new business from the ground up in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. This role requires a self-starter who can cultivate relationships with cross-functional teams and take ownership of the program. Responsibilities include influencing stakeholders, developing a buying and sourcing strategy for a new category, and ensuring seamless execution while analyzing key metrics for business improvements.

The Vendor Manager will be responsible for managing relationships with vendors, expanding product selection, overseeing category profitability, optimizing pricing, and developing the team. The ideal candidate has leadership development experience, strong analytical capabilities, excellent business judgment, and superior vendor management and negotiation skills.

The role is external-facing, focusing on collaboration with vendors to build seasonal selection and long shelf-life Fresh/Frozen space, with the potential to build the the company Now Retail business from scratch. Key responsibilities also include driving strategic initiatives, negotiating terms of trade, and managing the P&L for meeting targets.

Basic Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in retail, operations, product or program management, or business management/consulting, with a strong focus on negotiations and delivering results.
• Experience with financial analysis and P&L ownership.
• Proven experience in FMCG/Grocery/Import sourcing, vendor management, and retail.
• Strong negotiation skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience managing large data sets and utilizing them to drive performance and process improvements.
• Ability to align and direct cross-functional teams.

This role requires the ability to navigate high levels of ambiguity and demands a candidate with a successful track record in project delivery, commercial negotiations, and relationship management.
