About
The Vendor Performance team is responsible for driving the strategy for the Vendor Operations team and executing it through local and global cross-collaboration. This team monitors the performance of vendors, including restaurants, groceries, convenience stores, pharmacies, and other verticals on the platform. They play a critical role in collaborating with local and global product and operations teams to optimize experiences for vendors, customers, and riders while focusing on vendor operations touchpoints.
This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy working with numbers, identifying trends, finding meaning behind data, and generating actionable insights to enhance the growth of the platform and its partners. It requires high analytical skills, leadership in guiding the team and stakeholders, and the ability to make data-driven decisions while fostering the team's collective abilities.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Stakeholders Management

    • Collaborate with and manage business and product stakeholders locally and globally.
    • Develop good working relationships with key stakeholders, influence, and attain requisite buy-in in a structured way.
    • Build relationships with key partners, ensuring we drive agreed performance metrics for a high NPS.
    • Provide senior management with regular performance reports, insights, and presentations.
  • Drive Change

    • Own and drive improvements to vendor performance metrics such as Vendor Reliability, Vendor Availability, Vendor Timing, and Seamless Experiences.
    • Innovate and lead the identification, prioritization, and development of processes that enhance and scale operations and business growth.
  • Drive Vendor Performance Strategy

    • Establish local and global benchmarks on vendor performance and operations metrics.
    • Cascade strategy to the vendor operations division.
    • Develop an overall vendor operations strategy to optimize performance and identify new opportunities efficiently.
  • Data-Driven Decision Making

    • Utilize data-driven decision-making tools and controlled testing environments to study, launch, and enhance vendor performance and operations based on market insights and vendor feedback.
    • Build tools to help teams identify operational gaps and opportunities for enhancement.
  • Customer Centricity

    • Be obsessed with the partner/vendor experience, ensuring support and driving their performance at the core of the role.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 4+ years of experience in Operations Management, Project Management, Product Management, or a related role.
  • Experience in a high-growth technology-based environment or startup.
  • Past experience with vendor operations is an advantage.
  • Proven track record as a high performer who creates impact through data-driven decisions; proficiency in SQL, Big Query, Tableau, or Google Studio is highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both written and spoken.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills for interactions with senior leadership.
