Verification and Validation Engineer

The role reports to the Chief Engineer and the Head of Engineering and is responsible for the system verification and validation of a large security system during and after its deployment. This also includes the acceptance process with the customer. The role is based in Riyadh, but frequent travel to locations in Saudi Arabia is required. Occasional international travel is also expected.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering / Information Technology or related field
• 10+ years of experience in the Verification and Validation (V&V) of systems and familiar with the applicable INCOSE and international system engineering standards, or holding an ISTQB Certification
• Ability to educate other V&V engineers hands-on, in theory and practice, to continuously improve V&V skills of the team
• Experience in writing test procedures and test reports
• Strong analytical thinking and engineering mindset
• Good written, verbal and presentation skills; ability to effectively explain complex technical concepts
• Fluent in written and spoken English; ability to communicate in Arabic is desirable

Key Responsibilities

• Lead a team of V&V Engineers and act as Domain Lead towards other technical teams to align and plan tasks
• Play an active role in verification inside development teams and drive the verification and release of software releases or features
• Lead Test Campaigns for Customer Acceptance Events
• Prepare test documentation (test procedures, problem reports, test reports) during test campaigns and conduct reviews for test documentation
• Perform verification and validation activities at the system level for system/customer releases, including dedicated test campaigns
