Video Engineer – OB Video Engineering

As a Video Engineer specializing in Outside Broadcast (OB) Video Engineering, you will provide on-the-job guidance, support, and training to the outside broadcast video team, ensuring smooth processes. Your responsibilities will include configuring and setting up outside broadcast video equipment and systems during events to meet broadcast requirements.

You will perform troubleshooting and first-level support in case of critical equipment failure during production. Additionally, you will test all video equipment and systems for outside broadcasts, including backups, to ensure proper functionality and maintain playback videos for events as needed.

It is essential to ensure the availability and proper functioning of the required equipment before broadcasting. You will be responsible for recording or sending the broadcast while ensuring that video outputs are synchronized correctly.

Coordinating settings for video equipment and systems for outside broadcasts on-site according to requirements to ensure compliance will also be part of your duties. You will work closely with operations, production, and news departments to cover daily outside broadcast events. Furthermore, you will plan and implement regular and on-demand maintenance of technical equipment for outside broadcasts, in coordination with relevant parties, including technical support engineers and broadcast support engineers.

This position requires 3 to 5 years of experience, excellent proficiency in English, and will be a full-time, on-site role based in Abu Dhabi, Abu Dhabi Emirate, United Arab Emirates.
