Key Job Responsibilities:

  • Equipment Operation

    • Assist in cleaning, testing, maintaining, prepping, and repairing equipment prior to an event.
    • Ensure a flawlessly executed event through accurate and timely setup, operation, and breakdown of basic audiovisual equipment.
    • Troubleshoot technical issues and resolve problems quickly as they arise.
    • Comply with all company security and safety measures, adhere to health and safety regulations, and wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
    • Report all health and safety issues to the HSE Manager or Project Manager onsite.
    • Work as part of a team on larger scale projects when necessary.
  • Customer Service

    • Strive to exceed the expectations and needs of internal and external customers.
    • Maintain a positive relationship with all clients through effective communication.
    • Meet with guests on site to ensure that their needs are met and the equipment setup is working properly.
    • Monitor events and check in on customers throughout the day, fostering the hotel/venue/client relationship.
  • Technical Ability

    • Understand the technical aspects of the job and demonstrate basic operational ability to troubleshoot and problem-solve with equipment and software issues.
    • Handle equipment challenges and changes in a timely and professional manner.
  • Systems Knowledge

    • Understand company processes, follow procedures, and complete systems entry and paperwork accurately.
    • Use equipment sheets to determine the scheduled equipment for setup and strike.
    • Interact with other staff and outside vendors for equipment logistics.
    • Work with clients to finalize invoices and increase revenue by utilizing floor up-selling techniques.
