Video Surveillance (CCTV) & Servers Engineer

About the Role
As a Video Surveillance (CCTV) & Servers Engineer, you will play a critical role in maintaining and securing video surveillance systems. Your expertise will ensure the seamless operation of recording servers, storage solutions, and associated security infrastructure. You'll provide advanced technical support and leadership to improve system performance and reliability while mentoring junior technicians.

Responsibilities

• Provide Level-3 technical support for video-surveillance systems, recording servers, storage, and associated security servers.
• Perform advanced troubleshooting at system, application, and infrastructure levels.
• Conduct root-cause analysis for major and recurring incidents.
• Coordinate OEM support cases and ensure permanent technical resolution.
• Manage system configuration, firmware, software maintenance, releases, and upgrades.
• Develop and maintain preventive-maintenance and predictive-monitoring procedures.
• Maintain system design documents, SOPs, and technical knowledge bases.
• Mentor Level-2 technicians and assess their technical competency.
• Support Change Advisory Board assessments for system changes.
• Maintain VMS, recording servers, storage, camera systems, recording, retention, failover, and analytics.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience with video-surveillance systems in a comparable environment.
• Valid Milestone certification through an authorised channel.
• Strong experience with VMS, servers, and storage systems.
• ITIL Foundation certification.
• Strong troubleshooting and root-cause-analysis skills.
• Experience handling OEM technical support and escalations.
• Strong documentation and mentoring capability.
• Good knowledge of system monitoring, recording, retention, and failover.
• Ability to comply with airport security, HSE, and cyber-security requirements.
