Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and administer VMware vSphere, ESXi, vCenter, and vSAN environments.
- Deploy, configure, migrate, and troubleshoot virtual machines and hosts.
- Manage Nutanix AHV, Prism Central, and Prism Element environments.
- Perform virtualization upgrades, patching, capacity planning, and performance optimization.
- Configure and manage HA, DRS, vMotion, Storage vMotion, and VM replication.
- Monitor infrastructure health, resource utilization, and system performance.
- Troubleshoot virtualization, compute, storage, and network-related issues.
- Implement backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity solutions.
- Support VM migrations between VMware and Nutanix environments.
- Maintain infrastructure documentation and operational procedures.
- Collaborate with network, storage, security, and systems teams to resolve infrastructure issues.
- Participate in incident management, root-cause analysis, and infrastructure improvement initiatives.
Required Skills:
- Strong hands-on experience with VMware vSphere, ESXi, vCenter, and vSAN.
- Strong experience with Nutanix AHV, Prism Central, and Prism Element.
- Knowledge of VMware HA, DRS, vMotion, Storage vMotion, and clustering.
- Experience with enterprise SAN/NAS storage and iSCSI/FC.
- Good understanding of TCP/IP, VLANs, DNS, DHCP, and network connectivity.
- Experience with virtualization monitoring, troubleshooting, and capacity management.
- Knowledge of backup and disaster recovery solutions.
- Familiarity with PowerShell or other automation/scripting tools is a plus.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or a related field.
- VMware VCP and/or Nutanix NCP certification is preferred.
- 2–4 years of relevant enterprise virtualization experience.
