Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and maintain enterprise Windows Server platforms including Active Directory, ADFS, GPOs, DNS, and DHCP.
- Lead VMware ESXi/vCenter or Hyper-V virtualization environments.
- Drive automation for patching, provisioning, monitoring, and compliance checks using tools such as PowerShell, Ansible, SCCM/WSUS, and PowerCLI.
- Optimize resource utilization using DRS/HA.
- Lead disaster recovery (DR) failover/failback exercises for virtual workloads and represent the Windows domain in DR tests.
- Implement security baselines and manage vulnerability remediation to ensure compliance.
- Conduct root cause analysis for major incidents and mentor junior team members.
- Oversee integration of virtualization with storage, network overlays, and backup solutions.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Advanced experience with Windows Server (2016/2019/2022), Active Directory, ADFS, GPO, DNS, and DHCP.
- Deep experience in VMware (vSphere, vCenter, SRM, RP4VM) or Hyper-V, with knowledge in virtual networking and storage mapping.
- Proficient in scripting (PowerShell, Ansible, PowerCLI) and familiar with management tools like SCCM/WSUS.
- Strong understanding of system hardening and compliance frameworks such as NDMO and NCA.
- Familiarity with hybrid environments.
- Bachelor's degree in IT, Engineering, or a related field.
- 8+ years of combined experience in Windows Server and virtualization engineering.
- VMware Certified Professional (VCP) or Microsoft equivalent certification preferred, along with ITIL Foundation certification.
