Position

The Consulting Manager will be a key member of the VCA organization in GCC and NALP, contributing to commercial traction, product development, and thought leadership across practice areas. The role will deliver subject matter expertise and consulting support to the company's key clients across clusters. The primary objective is to deepen client relationships and optimize performance by designing and assessing payments strategies to enhance customer engagement. This position is specifically focused on VCA projects related to Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank and requires on-site client presence in Abu Dhabi.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with VCA colleagues, account executives, and other functions to manage a pipeline of engagement opportunities.
  • Lead and/or serve as a subject matter expert on consulting engagements across practice areas, including portfolio, digital, and risk.
  • Analyze client needs using the company's and external data to identify consulting opportunities.
  • Support and contribute to sales pitches and internal problem-solving sessions.
  • Prepare for and engage in client discussions and project deliveries in both coordination and delivery roles.
  • Work closely with other groups to ensure a seamless consulting experience.
  • Contribute to the development of practice areas in terms of product development when needed.

Key Competencies

  • Broad and deep expertise in Payments Consulting across multiple areas.
  • Understanding of business needs of issuers, acquirers, and merchants in areas such as strategy, acquisition, and innovation.
  • Familiarity with customer lifecycle stages and best practices to meet customer needs.
  • Awareness of industry trends, including evolving economics of payments and the impact of digital technologies.

Work Conditions
This is a hybrid position. The expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager.

Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:

  • 5 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor's Degree, or at least 2 years with an Advanced degree (e.g., Masters, MBA, JD, MD), or 0 years with a PhD.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 6 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor's Degree, or 4 or more years with an Advanced Degree, or up to 3 years with a PhD.
  • At least 5 years of overall work experience, including a minimum of 2 years in payments within top-tier financial services or consulting firms.
  • Desired combination of regional and global experience.
  • At least 2 years of management consulting experience with strong consulting skills and client engagement capabilities.
  • Excellent diplomacy and communication skills, with comfort in presenting to senior management.
  • Strong analytical capabilities with advanced skills in PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Excellent project management skills and a results-driven mindset.
  • Ability to travel frequently and work on client sites, self-motivated, and capable of working with limited direction.
  • Strong teamwork and collaboration skills in a multi-cultural environment.
