Position

The Consulting Manager will be a key member of the VCA organization in GCC and NALP, contributing to commercial traction, product development, and thought leadership across practice areas, specifically focusing on Saudi Arabia. This role involves delivering subject matter expertise and consulting support to the company's key clients across clusters. The main objective is to deepen client relationships and optimize client performance by aiding them in designing and assessing their payments strategies and implementing initiatives to enhance customer engagement.

Principal Responsibilities/Key Results Area

  • Collaborate with VCA colleagues, account executives, and other functions to manage a pipeline of engagement opportunities with major banks and merchants in the region.
  • Lead or serve as a subject matter expert on consulting engagements across various practice areas (portfolio, digital, risk), including:
    • Analyzing client needs using internal and external data to identify consulting opportunities.
    • Supporting and contributing to sales pitches.
    • Leading or contributing to internal problem-solving sessions.
    • Participating in client discussions.
    • Engaging in project deliveries in coordination and delivery roles.
  • Work closely with other groups (Products, BD, Risk, Marketing, Digital Solutions, etc.) to ensure a seamless consulting experience.
  • Contribute to the development of practice areas related to product development.

Key Competencies

  • Expertise in Payments Consulting across multiple areas, including:
    • Business needs of issuers, acquirers, and merchants in Portfolio, Digital, and Risk.
    • Best practices for customer lifecycle stages (acquisition, activation, usage, reactivation, retention).
    • Awareness of industry trends (economics of payments, customer value propositions, digitalization, development of digital channels).

Work Conditions
This position requires being on the ground in KSA 4 to 5 days a week as needed, with weekly travel expected.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent (Master’s preferred).
  • Minimum 5 years of overall work experience, with at least 5 years in payments at a top-tier bank or consulting firm.
  • Desired combination of regional and global experience.
  • At least 2 years in management consulting with strong client engagement skills, including:
    • Diplomatic skills for a multi-functional environment.
    • Comfort in presenting to senior management.
    • Highly analytical with proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel.
    • Superior project management skills.
    • Results-driven and customer-focused.
    • Willingness to travel frequently and work on client site.
    • Self-motivated with initiative and limited direction.
    • Strong collaboration skills for working in interdisciplinary groups.
    • Cultural adaptability.
