Position

About the Job:
The VMware Engineer is a key element within the Rackspace support infrastructure and is expected to provide a high level of technical support to our customers. This role includes ownership of complex customer issues that may take several days or weeks to resolve, ensuring that customers are kept updated throughout the process. Responsibilities include:

Supporting VMware virtualization solutions based on business requirements.
Deploying, configuring, and maintaining VMware Cloud Platform and vSphere infrastructure.
Developing SDN networks in NSX-T with integration into physical Cisco ACI networks.
Implementing load balancing as a service through NSX-ALB integrated with vCenter and VMware Cloud Director.
Monitoring system performance and optimizing configurations for maximum efficiency.
Troubleshooting and resolving performance issues in the virtual environment.
Managing access controls, permissions, and security configurations within VMware environments.
Implementing and managing backup and recovery solutions for virtualized environments.
Creating and maintaining disaster recovery plans for VMware infrastructure.
Collaborating with other IT teams to integrate VMware solutions with existing systems.

Location: Riyadh Region
Work Conditions: On-site, Full-time

Required Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
Proven experience working with VMware technologies, including NSX-T, vSphere, vCenter, ESXi, vSAN, and VMware Cloud Director.
Strong understanding of virtualization concepts and architecture.
Experience with scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Python).
Familiarity with networking concepts, protocols, and technologies (TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, switching).
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Certifications:
Certifications such as VMware Certified Professional (VCP-DCV), VMware Specialist - Cloud Provider, or VMware Certified Advanced Professional (VCAP) are often preferred.
