Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting VMware virtualization solutions based on business requirements.
- Deploying, configuring, and maintaining VMware Cloud Platform and vSphere infrastructure.
- Developing SDN networks in NSX-T, integrating with physical Cisco ACI networks.
- Supporting load balancing as a service through NSX-ALB integrated with vCenter and VMware Cloud Director.
- Analyzing problems to determine root causes, generating alternatives, evaluating them, and implementing solutions.
- Monitoring system performance, optimizing configurations, and troubleshooting performance issues in the virtual environment.
- Implementing security best practices and ensuring compliance with relevant standards.
- Managing access controls and permissions within VMware environments.
- Creating and maintaining disaster recovery plans and technical documentation.
- Collaborating with IT teams to integrate VMware solutions with existing systems and providing technical support.
Required Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proven experience with VMware technologies, including NSX-T, vSphere, vCenter, ESXi, vSAN, and VMware Cloud Director.
- Experience managing large-scale private cloud environments and familiarity with cloud service provider environments is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of virtualization concepts, architecture, and best practices.
- Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Python) for automation.
- Understanding of networking concepts and technologies (TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, switching).
- Familiarity with network security practices within VMware environments.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., VMware Certified Professional) are preferred.
