The Global Markets Business Finance team consists of Business Unit Control, Valuation Control, Central MI, and Change Management teams, supporting Global Markets and Group Treasury businesses both locally and internationally. The Change Management Team is tasked with pioneering digital transformation initiatives aimed at implementing controls and enhancing operational efficiencies. The VP-Head of Change Management is expected to lead strategic initiatives, drive impactful changes, and focus on maximizing growth while eliminating inefficiencies.

Key Accountabilities
Team Supervision
- Leads a techno-functional advisory team acting as a liaison between various business groups (Global Markets, Operations, Compliance, Risk, Legal, IT, and PMO) across the company’s Head Office and international locations.
- Advises on Global Markets / Finance best practices, resolves audit points, identifies and executes optimization opportunities, facilitates international rollouts, automation opportunities, and implements processes/products/controls rollouts.
Policies, Systems, Processes & Procedures
- Develops solutions and drives initiatives for implementing controls aimed at enhancing governance, accuracy, and efficiency of financial and management reporting.
Continuous Improvement
- Participates in identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and sustainability of systems, processes, and practices, considering global standards, productivity improvements, and cost reductions.
Reporting
- Re-engineers current processes to facilitate management and financial reporting and analysis.
Job Context
Business Activity Support
- Transforms finance streams from cost centers to business drivers by collaborating with the Global Markets team on revenue-generating initiatives, supporting GM business growth, ambitions, and goals.
- Drives strategic initiatives with an innovative mindset focused on maximizing growth and eliminating inefficiencies.
- Pioneers digital transformation initiatives aimed at enhancing controls and efficiency by re-engineering, automating, and optimizing processes while adopting an agile delivery mindset.
- Collaborates with stakeholders in Product Control, Global Markets/Group Treasury, Operations, Risk, and Finance for support in new business activity deployment and enhances existing functionalities in Murex and downstream systems.
- Reviews business needs, translating them into application functional requirements for complex financial products and processes.
- Ensures compliance and documentation of Risk & Control Self-Assessments (RCSA), Operational Risk Assessments for Projects (ORAP), and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Centralization of Business Change Requests
- Centralizes all system change requests for Product Control and Financial Control Departments: logs business issues (gaps and risks), reviews business requirement documents (BRDs), follows up on systems’ IT implementations, performs User Acceptance Testing (UAT) before deployment, ensures global rollout of changes, and notifies all stakeholders of the required end-user procedures.
- Supports new business requests, ensuring control through the existing or new system architecture, providing responsive support to front office, and ensuring “speed to market” of new products.
Contribution to Transformation Projects
- Simultaneously leads multiple projects focused on automating/optimizing manual processes using various systems.
- Delivers complex automation projects within tight deadlines.
Contribution to International Roll-outs
- Manages the change management team by overseeing validation processes, reconciliations, gaps, and issues identified.
- Represents business interests and leads integration and migration activities from a GM Finance perspective related to sensitive and complex mergers/acquisitions.
- Escalates any issues to management and assists in mitigating operational risk.
- Addresses critical audit and compliance issues by developing and implementing tactical and strategic solutions.
Contribution to New Products and Processes Scoping and Rollout Activities
- Grows business profitability by liaising with various stakeholders (Front Office, Operations, Legal, Risk, Compliance, IT teams) to roll out new financial products, modules, systems, and processes and controls.
- Validates and signs off on financial products’ behavior, lifecycle, and accounting activity.
- Introduces new processes to ensure compliance controls are established across platforms, thereby decreasing the risk of operational incidents and fraud.
Product Owner
- Maximizes delivered value by defining the Minimal Viable Product (MVP) and ensuring early value delivery.
- Creates and maintains functional and operational processes associated with the platform.
- Manages and coordinates all stakeholders contributing towards the product functionality or operationally.
Qualifications & Experience
Minimum Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Accounting, or Finance.
Minimum Experience
- Extensive track record of delivering techno-functional bank-wide projects, with proven leadership and managerial experience in a top-tier institution.
- Strong business acumen and technical expertise in systems and infrastructure.
- Strong stakeholder management skills across GM Finance and IT.
- Highly developed numerical, analytical, presentation, and interpersonal skills with expertise to represent the team on strategic initiatives.
- Proven product management experience.
- Minimum 10-12 years’ experience in a similar role in a reputable international/global bank.
