This role requires practical knowledge typically obtained through advanced education and work experience. The Warehouse SAP Specialist will work independently with general supervision, handling difficult but typically not complex problems while influencing colleagues through clear communication of facts, policies, and practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and execute the receiving, put-away, and storage of incoming materials and inventory using SAP Extended Warehouse Management (SAP EWM) and SAP Materials Management (SAP MM) modules.
- Coordinate picking, packing, and shipping of outgoing materials and orders using SAP EWM.
- Collaborate with procurement, production, and sales teams to align inventory levels with demand, utilizing SAP's materials requirements planning (MRP).
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies, damages, or issues related to materials.
- Manage inventory control including cycle counting and physical inventory using SAP's inventory management capabilities.
- Maintain accurate records of material transactions, inventory levels, and warehouse activities in SAP.
- Provide training and guidance to warehouse staff on proper materials handling procedures and the use of SAP tools.
- Stay informed about industry trends, regulations, and best practices in warehouse management.
Qualifications:
- Excellent knowledge in Excel and other Microsoft applications.
- Experience in SAP Materials Management Module; experience in S/4HANA is preferred.
- 2+ years of experience in inventory and materials management.
- A diploma or bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, management information systems, or a related field.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Proficiency in both spoken and written English is required.
