About the Role
The Way4 Payment Systems Specialist is responsible for the administration, support, maintenance, and optimization of the Way4 core payment platform, a leading payment processing solution utilized by payment service providers, banks, fintech organizations, and card issuers. This role ensures the reliable operation of payment processing services, supports business initiatives, and collaborates closely with technical and operational teams to deliver secure and efficient payment solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer and support the Way4 payment processing platform.
- Monitor daily payment operations and ensure high system availability.
- Troubleshoot and resolve application, transaction, and integration issues.
- Manage payment products, card programs, merchant configurations, and transaction processing workflows.
- Support system upgrades, patches, and platform enhancements.
- Collaborate with business, operations, and technology teams to implement new payment services.
- Participate in incident management and root cause analysis for production issues.
- Ensure compliance with payment industry standards, security policies, and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor system performance and recommend improvements for scalability and efficiency.
- Prepare operational documentation, procedures, and technical reports.
- Support integration with external payment networks, gateways, and third-party systems.
Must-Have Skills
- Experience working with the Way4 Payment Platform.
- Strong understanding of electronic payments, card issuing, acquiring, and transaction processing.
- Knowledge of payment ecosystems including Visa, Mastercard, and other payment schemes.
- Experience with SQL, databases, and payment transaction analysis.
- Understanding of API integrations and payment gateway connectivity.
- Familiarity with Linux/Unix environments and application support processes.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
Good-to-Have Skills
- Experience in banking, fintech, or payment service provider (PSP) environments.
- Knowledge of PCI-DSS and payment security standards.
- Experience supporting high-volume payment processing applications.
- Understanding of digital payments, wallets, and real-time payment systems.
- Experience with payment operations, settlement, and reconciliation processes.
- Experience with system performance monitoring and optimization.
- Experience supporting system upgrades, patches, and platform enhancements.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in banking, financial services, fintech, or card-processing organizations.
- Knowledge of payment security standards such as PCI-DSS.
- Experience supporting enterprise-scale, high-volume payment processing systems.
