About
Breakout is a crypto prop trading program that gives skilled traders access to capital, with up to 90% of profits going to the trader. Traders pass a one-step evaluation, then trade funded accounts up to $200K with on-demand profit withdrawals, 24/7. You will own design for Breakout across web, lifecycle, and brand, with web as the clear priority. This is a hands-on, in-the-trenches role where you will design the web pages and marketing assets that bring new traders to Breakout and build the systems that let the rest of the team design without you.

Responsibilities
- Own web design and UX end-to-end, including designing the Breakout website, landing pages, and conversion flows.
- Build the AI design system that allows the team to self-serve and address high-friction, high-volume design requests.
- Extend design across the marketing surface, ensuring consistency across lifecycle email, organic social, and campaign visuals.
- Own and evolve the brand system, maintaining Breakout's brand guidelines, component library, and asset toolkit.
- Utilize AI as your primary production engine, employing tools like Claude Design and Figma to enhance design efficiency.
- Prototype quickly, turning copy and concepts into clickable, code-backed prototypes for team testing.
- Partner with engineering for clean handoffs and collaborate closely to ensure designs translate accurately into deployment.
- Document design systems into guidelines that facilitate self-serve design across the organization.
Requirements
- 5+ years of hands-on web and digital design experience with a strong portfolio of shipped work.
- Strong command of web UX, including information architecture, responsive layout, and design systems.
- Demonstrable experience using AI design tools like Claude Design and Figma.
- Proven ability to think in components, templates, and reusable patterns for design systems.
- Experience designing not just web, but also lifecycle emails, organic social, and brand assets.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills for effective handoffs to engineering and enabling non-designers.
- A proactive nature with a bias to ship, demonstrating eagerness to prototype and iterate quickly.
- An interest or experience in crypto, trading, and prop trading.
Nice to Have
- Experience in performance creative design, including paid ad creative.
- Motion and video skills with tools like After Effects or Rive.
- Front-end coding ability (HTML/CSS/React) or familiarity with AI code tools.
- Background in crypto, fintech, trading, or another regulated field.
- Experience with a design system used by cross-functional teams.
