Who You Are:
We are looking for a Web Developer who is passionate about their work. You keep abreast of new developments in the industry and constantly seek to improve your skills. You value both design and code and possess strong attention to detail. Excellent communication skills are essential, and you may even share your insights through blogging. You embrace challenges, especially those related to developing for a broad audience.
In This Team You Will:
- Create high-fidelity websites and web apps using the latest HTML, CSS (SCSS), and JavaScript (React and TypeScript)
- Maintain existing projects, updating content and adding new pages
- Manage incoming requests for updates, liaising or delegating as necessary
- Ensure high and consistent standards across all product outputs
- Publish new pages according to specifications and in compliance with the web style guide
- Collaborate closely with UX designers and visual designers to implement exemplary user experiences.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Demonstrable experience with modern web applications
- Strong understanding of HTML, CSS (with SCSS), and JavaScript
- Experience with JavaScript component libraries
- Proficiency in TypeScript
- Experience in creating responsive user interfaces for diverse devices and browsers
- Familiarity with Git or other version control systems
- Awareness of SEO best practices
- Consideration of accessibility in all aspects of work
- Strong understanding of web performance in complex user interfaces
- Ability to interact with UX designers and server-side developers
- Curiosity about technology and a desire to learn
- Based in EMEA timezones (Europe, the Middle East, and Africa)
- University degree or equivalent education
Useful Experience (if you have it):
- Familiarity with Linux desktop technologies
- Knowledge of server-side languages such as Python or NodeJS
- Experience working on a large-scale React (with TypeScript) project
- A history of open source contributions
- Relevant work experience
