We are seeking a highly skilled Windows Build & Automation Specialist with proven expertise in Windows build engineering, enterprise application packaging, and endpoint automation. You will design, build, and maintain enterprise-grade Windows 10/11 desktop environments, package and deploy clinical and business applications, and deliver zero-touch provisioning using Microsoft Intune, Autopilot, Microsoft Deployment Toolkit (MDT), and Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM/SCCM). This is a hands-on delivery role, ensuring every Windows endpoint across our hospitals and clinics is secure, performant, compliant, and reliable.

Key Responsibilities:

Windows Build Engineering:
- Develop, maintain, and continuously improve standardised Windows 10/11 desktop images with embedded security, compliance, and performance tuning.
- Implement zero-touch build processes using Microsoft Intune, Autopilot, and advanced PowerShell scripting.
- Test and validate builds for stability, performance, and compatibility with clinical and business workflows.

Application Packaging & Deployment:
- Package enterprise and clinical applications (MSI, EXE, MSIX, APPX) for deployment.
- Conduct application compatibility testing during OS upgrades and patch cycles.
- Maintain a controlled application library with versioning and rollback options.

Automation & Zero-Touch Provisioning:
- Develop advanced PowerShell scripts for automation of builds and application deployment.
- Deliver proactive remediation scripts and self-healing routines via Microsoft Intune.

Performance Tuning & Testing:
- Monitor and optimise endpoint performance using Endpoint Analytics and Windows Performance Toolkit.

OS Lifecycle Management & Migrations:
- Lead enterprise migration from Windows 10 to Windows 11, including pilot testing and phased rollout.
- Maintain updated images aligned with security patches and compliance needs.

Documentation & Collaboration:
- Produce detailed build guides and documentation for build and packaging-related issues.
Required Skills & Experience:
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in Windows desktop build engineering, application packaging, and automation.
- Strong expertise in Microsoft Intune, Autopilot, MDT, and MECM/SCCM.
- Advanced PowerShell scripting skills.
Preferred Experience:
- Previous work in healthcare or regulated industries.
- Familiarity with Intel vPro for out-of-band management.
Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field.
- Required certifications:
- MD-102: Endpoint Administrator
- MS-102: Microsoft 365 Administrator
- AZ-104: Azure Administrator
- SC-300: Identity and Access Administrator
- ITIL Foundation certification (preferred).
