Position

As a Windows Virtualization ADFS Engineer, you will design, implement, and maintain enterprise Windows Server platforms, including Active Directory, ADFS, Group Policy Objects (GPOs), DNS, and DHCP. You will take the lead in VMware ESXi/vCenter (or Hyper-V) and Nutanix virtualization environments.

Your primary responsibilities will include driving automation for patching, provisioning, monitoring, and compliance checks using PowerShell, Ansible, SCCM/WSUS, and PowerCLI. Additionally, you will optimize resource utilization and lead disaster recovery (DR) failover/failback exercises for virtual workloads. Implementing security baselines, managing vulnerability remediations, and ensuring compliance with standards is crucial to this role.

You will conduct root cause analysis for major incidents across Windows and virtual environments while mentoring L1/L2 team members. This position also involves overseeing the integration of virtualization with storage, network overlays, and backup solutions, and maintaining comprehensive documentation.

Mandatory Skills:

  • Advanced experience with Windows Server (2016/2019/2022), Active Directory, ADFS, GPO, DNS, DHCP
  • Deep experience in Nutanix (Prism Central Administrator, AHV Cluster Build) including virtual networking and storage mapping
  • Deep experience in VMware (vSphere, vCenter, SRM, RP4VM) or Hyper-V, including virtual networking and storage mapping
  • Highly proficient in scripting (PowerShell, Ansible, PowerCLI) and tools like SCCM/WSUS
  • Strong understanding of system hardening, ITSM, and compliance frameworks (NDMO, NCA)
  • Familiarity with hybrid environments
  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, Engineering, or related field
  • 8+ years of combined experience in Windows Server and virtualization engineering
  • VMware Certified Professional (VCP) or Microsoft equivalent (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate) preferred
  • ITIL Foundation preferred
