The Windows Virtualization ADFS Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining enterprise Windows Server platforms, including Active Directory (AD), Active Directory Federation Services (ADFS), Group Policy Objects (GPOs), DNS, and DHCP. This role involves leading VMware ESXi/vCenter (or Hyper-V) and Nutanix virtualization environments.

Responsibilities:
- Drive automation for patching, provisioning, monitoring, and compliance checks using PowerShell, Ansible, SCCM/WSUS, and PowerCLI.
- Optimize resource utilization utilizing DRS/HA.
- Lead disaster recovery (DR) failover/failback exercises for virtual workloads and represent the Windows domain in DR tests, ensuring robust backup and recovery solutions.
- Implement security baselines, manage vulnerability remediations, and ensure system lifecycle compliance with standards.
- Conduct root cause analysis for major incidents across Windows and virtual environments and mentor L1/L2 team members.
- Oversee integration of virtualization with storage, network overlays, and backup solutions.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation, including CMDB integrity and runbooks.
Mandatory Skills:
- Advanced experience with Windows Server (2016/2019/2022), Active Directory, ADFS, GPO, DNS, DHCP.
- Deep experience in Nutanix and VMware (or Hyper-V), including virtual networking and storage mapping.
- Proficiency in scripting (PowerShell, Ansible, PowerCLI) and tools like SCCM/WSUS.
- Strong understanding of system hardening, ITSM, and compliance frameworks.
- Familiarity with hybrid environments.
- Bachelor's degree in IT, Engineering, or related field with 8+ years of combined experience in Windows Server and virtualization engineering.
- VMware Certified Professional (VCP) or Microsoft equivalent, ITIL Foundation preferred.
