Key responsibilities involve:
- Driving automation for patching, provisioning, monitoring, and compliance checks using PowerShell, Ansible, SCCM/WSUS, and PowerCLI.
- Optimizing resource utilization through DRS/HA.
- Leading disaster recovery failover and failback exercises for virtual workloads and representing the Windows domain in DR tests.
- Implementing security baselines, managing vulnerability remediations, and ensuring system lifecycle compliance.
- Performing root cause analysis for major incidents and mentoring junior team members.
- Maintaining comprehensive documentation, including CMDB integrity and runbooks.
Mandatory Skills:
- Advanced experience with Windows Server (2016/2019/2022), Active Directory, ADFS, GPO, DNS, DHCP.
- Deep experience in Nutanix (Prism Central Administrator, AHV Cluster Build) and VMware (vSphere, vCenter, SRM, RP4VM) or Hyper-V.
- Proficient in scripting (PowerShell, Ansible, PowerCLI) and in using tools like SCCM/WSUS.
- Strong understanding of system hardening, ITSM, and compliance frameworks.
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Engineering, or a related field, with 8+ years of combined experience in Windows Server and virtualization engineering.
- VMware Certified Professional (VCP) or Microsoft equivalent is preferred.
