Key Responsibilities:
- Drive automation for patching, provisioning, monitoring, and compliance checks using tools such as PowerShell, Ansible, SCCM/WSUS, and PowerCLI.
- Optimize resource utilization through DRS/HA and lead DR failover/failback exercises for virtual workloads (RP4VM).
- Implement security baselines (e.g., CIS) and manage vulnerability remediation while ensuring compliance with standards like NDMO and NCA.
- Conduct root cause analysis for major incidents across Windows and virtual environments and mentor L1/L2 team members.
- Oversee integration of virtualization with storage, network overlays, and backup solutions (e.g., Commvault).
- Maintain comprehensive documentation including CMDB integrity, runbooks, and VM lifecycle.
Mandatory Skills:
- Advanced experience with Windows Server (2016/2019/2022), Active Directory, ADFS, GPO, DNS, DHCP.
- Deep experience in Nutanix (Prism Central Administrator, AHV Cluster Build), including virtual networking and storage mapping.
- Strong experience in VMware (vSphere, vCenter, SRM, RP4VM) or Hyper-V.
- Highly proficient in scripting (PowerShell, Ansible, PowerCLI) and tools like SCCM/WSUS.
- Strong understanding of system hardening, ITSM, and compliance frameworks (NDMO, NCA). Familiarity with hybrid environments is preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in IT, Engineering, or related field.
- At least 8 years of combined experience in Windows Server and virtualization engineering.
- VMware Certified Professional (VCP) or Microsoft equivalent (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate) is preferred. ITIL Foundation certification is also desirable.
