Windows Virtualization ADFS Engineer

As a Windows Virtualization ADFS Engineer, you will be responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of enterprise Windows Server platforms (Active Directory, ADFS, Group Policy Objects, DNS, DHCP) and leading VMware ESXi/vCenter (or Hyper-V) virtualization environments. Your role will include:

• Driving automation for patching, provisioning, monitoring, and compliance checks using PowerShell, Ansible, SCCM/WSUS, and PowerCLI, while optimizing resource utilization (DRS/HA).
• Leading disaster recovery failover/failback exercises for virtual workloads (RP4VM) and representing the Windows domain in disaster recovery tests, ensuring robust backup and recovery solutions.
• Implementing security baselines, managing vulnerability remediations, and ensuring system lifecycle compliance with standards such as NDMO and NCA.
• Conducting root cause analysis for major incidents within Windows and virtual environments and mentoring L1/L2 team members.
• Overseeing the integration of virtualization with storage, network overlays, and backup solutions (e.g., Commvault).
• Maintaining comprehensive documentation, ensuring CMDB integrity, and creating runbooks for VM lifecycle management.

Mandatory Skills:

• Advanced experience with Windows Server (2016/2019/2022), Active Directory, ADFS, GPO, DNS, DHCP.
• Deep experience in VMware (vSphere, vCenter, SRM, RP4VM) or Hyper-V, including virtual networking and storage mapping.
• Proficiency in scripting (PowerShell, Ansible, PowerCLI) and tools such as SCCM/WSUS.
• Strong understanding of system hardening, ITSM, and compliance frameworks (NDMO, NCA), with familiarity in hybrid environments.
• Bachelor's degree in IT, Engineering, or related field, with 8+ years of combined experience in Windows Server and virtualization engineering.
• VMware Certified Professional (VCP) or Microsoft equivalent (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate), ITIL Foundation preferred.
