Windows Virtualization ADFS Engineer

As a Windows Virtualization ADFS Engineer at the company, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining enterprise Windows Server platforms, including Active Directory (AD), Active Directory Federation Services (ADFS), Group Policy Objects (GPOs), DNS, and DHCP. You will also lead VMware ESXi/vCenter (or Hyper-V) and Nutanix virtualization environments.

Responsibilities:

• Drive automation for patching, provisioning, monitoring, and compliance checks using PowerShell, Ansible, SCCM/WSUS, and PowerCLI.
• Optimize resource utilization through Distributed Resource Scheduler (DRS) and High Availability (HA).
• Lead disaster recovery (DR) failover/failback exercises for virtual workloads and represent the Windows domain in DR tests, ensuring robust backup and recovery solutions.
• Implement security baselines and manage vulnerability remediation while ensuring compliance with standards like NDMO and NCA.
• Conduct root cause analysis for major incidents in Windows and virtual environments, mentoring L1/L2 team members.
• Oversee the integration of virtualization with storage, network overlays, and backup solutions.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation including CMDB integrity, runbooks, and VM lifecycle.

Mandatory Skills:

• Advanced experience with Windows Server (2016/2019/2022), Active Directory, ADFS, GPO, DNS, and DHCP.
• Deep experience in Nutanix (Prism Central Administrator, AHV Cluster Build) with a focus on virtual networking and storage mapping.
• Proficient in VMware (vSphere, vCenter, SRM, RP4VM) or Hyper-V, with an understanding of virtual networking and storage mapping.
• Highly skilled in scripting with PowerShell, Ansible, and PowerCLI; proficient with tools like SCCM/WSUS.
• Strong understanding of system hardening, ITSM, and compliance frameworks (NDMO, NCA).
• Familiarity with hybrid environments.
• Bachelor's degree in IT, Engineering, or a related field.
• A minimum of 8 years of combined experience in Windows Server and virtualization engineering.
• VMware Certified Professional (VCP) or Microsoft equivalent (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate) preferred. ITIL Foundation certification is a plus.
