Wintel System Administrator

About
The Wintel System Administrator is responsible for effective provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware, software, and related Windows infrastructure. This includes all technology aspects, such as workstations, servers, printers, networks, and vendor-specific hardware and software.

Responsibilities

• Good experience in IT operations, Windows Administration, Windows Server Patching, Vulnerability Remediation, OS hardening, and performance tuning.
• Support and monitor cloud infrastructure hosted in Azure, including Virtual Machines, Azure AD, Resource Groups, Storage, and basic networking.
• Troubleshooting, analysis, and logging information for reporting of performance exceptions.
• Proactively monitor system performance and capacity planning.
• Familiar with Windows Cluster, File Server, DFS, OS Performance troubleshooting.
• Manage Active Directory infrastructure, including Group Policy, OU structure, replication, and troubleshooting authentication issues.
• Maintain and support Microsoft Exchange (on-prem and hybrid) environments.
• Administer and monitor Microsoft 365 services including SharePoint, Teams, and Intune.
• Deploy, manage, and upgrade virtualization platforms, including VMware vCenter, ESXi hosts, HyperV, and Nutanix.
• Implement and support hybrid cloud models (Private, Public, and Hybrid), ensuring integration and security of workloads across environments.
• Collaborate with other teams to develop automation strategies and deployment processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science or a related field or equivalent work experience.
• Certified Administrator AZ-104, AZ-900.
• Experience of 5 to 7 years as Wintel and Cloud administrator.
• Strong experience in Active Directory, Exchange, Office 365, Windows Server, Azure, and AWS.
• Hands-on knowledge of Exchange Server (2016/2019) and Exchange Online.
• Previous experience in a help desk support and troubleshooting role.
• Previous experience with Kubernetes and networking subnetting, routing, and firewalls.
