Your responsibilities:

  • Act as a technical lead, approving design deliverables and reviewing project documents to ensure conformity, safety, and quality assurance.
  • Anticipate and solve critical issues, serving as a specialist in advanced concepts and methods.
  • Act as design authority for a specific engineering discipline, completing assignments and collaborating on project installation and commissioning.
  • Provide technical support to commissioning and start-up activities, shaping customer solutions based on feedback.
  • Finalize ‘Fail-Safe Philosophy’ and other key concepts during kick-off and design freeze meetings.
  • Participate in project meetings to resolve outstanding technical issues and meet contractual obligations.
  • Assist in preparing proposals and presentations for engineering projects/programs.
  • Apply Design Thinking concepts in projects, including modeling, prototyping, simulation, and calculations.
  • Perform project peer reviews and utilize checklists for design verification according to applicable standards.
  • Share experiences in workshops pertaining to engineering design, tools, and processes, coaching colleagues on best practices.
  • Ensure engineering activities comply with safety regulations and contractual requirements, reporting any issues to Project Managers with recommendations.
  • Ensure Bill of Material (BOM) meets contractual obligations and project margin requirements.
  • Create work plans and cost estimates in consultation with Project Managers, ensuring quality deliverables on time and at targeted costs.
  • Collaborate with supply chain and manufacturing/testing teams to ensure appropriate technical solutions are manufactured/staged and tested.
  • Contribute to customer satisfaction by planning and executing service work and projects according to customer expectations.

Qualifications for the role:

  • Engineering Degree with overall networking and cybersecurity systems understanding combined with automation systems knowledge.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role, preferably with industrial networking and cybersecurity solutions for control systems, especially in oil and gas sectors.
  • Strong customer interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Expertise in designing and implementing Operational Technology (OT) network solutions for control systems, in-depth knowledge of cybersecurity principles, practices, and frameworks, with a focus on OT environments.
  • Familiarity with OT-specific cybersecurity standards such as ISA/IEC 62443.
  • Experience with firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and network segmentation in industrial settings.
  • Hands-on experience with industrial switches and routers, particularly with CISCO Layer 2 and Layer 3 switches.
  • Knowledge of Layer 2 network technology including VLAN, VTP, STP, RSTP, and MPLS.
  • Familiarity with common OT protocols (Modbus, IEC 104, OPC, IEC 61850).
  • CCNA (R&S/Security) and CCNP (R&S/Security) certifications.
  • Experience with cybersecurity solutions such as McAfee ePO, Cisco FTD, FortiGate, etc.
  • Fluency in English.
