Your responsibilities:
- Act as a technical lead, approving design deliverables and reviewing project documents for conformity, safety, and quality assurance.
- Anticipate and solve crucial issues and/or unique conditions while serving as a specialist in the application of advanced concepts and methods.
- Act as design authority for a specific engineering discipline and complete engineering assignments for that discipline.
- Collaborate on project installation, commissioning, and site activities, clarifying potential issues or providing solutions to correct engineering errors.
- Provide technical support to commissioning and start-up activities while working closely with customers to shape and deliver solutions and seeking feedback to drive improvements.
- Finalize ‘Fail-Safe Philosophy’ and other key concepts during kick-off and design freeze meetings.
- Participate in project meetings and resolve outstanding technical issues to meet contractual obligations.
- Assist in preparing proposals and presentations of engineering projects/programs, applying Design Thinking / Design for Excellence concepts.
- Perform Project Peer-Reviews and utilize checklists for design verification according to applicable standards and engineering guidelines.
- Contribute in workshops on engineering design, tools, and processes; coach engineering colleagues on translating conceptual designs into engineering documentation.
- Develop, select, and apply standard techniques, procedures, and tools while ensuring compliance with safety regulations and contractual requirements.
- Report inefficiencies in processes and tools, assessing technical risks and opportunities while addressing contract, safety, quality, program, and cost issues.
- Ensure the Bill of Material (BOM) meets contractual obligations and project gross margin requirements, identifying and implementing variation requests for contract claims.
- Create work plans and cost estimates for project portfolios in consultation with Project Managers, ensuring quality deliverables on time and at targeted costs.
- Prepare RFQs to meet contractual requirements, providing technical evaluations of suppliers’ proposals while collaborating with Supply Chain functions and Project Managers.
- Participate in project installation, commissioning, and site activities, ensuring technical solutions are properly manufactured, staged, and tested.
- Contribute to customer satisfaction by planning and executing service work and projects according to customer expectations.
Qualifications for the Role:
- Engineering degree with a comprehensive understanding of networking and cyber security systems, in addition to automation systems knowledge.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably with exposure to Industrial networking and cyber security solutions in control systems for Onshore and/or Offshore Oil and Gas customers.
- Strong customer interpersonal skills and communication abilities.
- Expertise in designing and implementing Operational Technology (OT) network solutions for control systems.
- In-depth knowledge of cybersecurity principles, practices, and frameworks with a focus on OT environments, as well as familiarity with OT-specific cybersecurity standards, such as ISA/IEC 62443.
- Hands-on experience with firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, network segmentation in industrial settings, and industry-standard networking tools.
- Proficiency in common OT protocols such as Modbus, IEC104, OPC, and IEC61850.
- Certifications such as CCNA (R&S/Security) & CCNP (R&S/Security) are required, along with knowledge in control systems and various cybersecurity solutions.
- Fluency in English is mandatory.
