Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the conceptualization, design, and optimization of advanced control systems for gimbal stabilization.
- Demonstrate expertise in missile homing algorithms and gimbal stabilization and tracking loop implementation.
- Integrate electric drives into gimbal control systems for enhanced efficiency and responsiveness.
- Collaborate with various engineering teams for integration with UAV platforms.
- Conduct system analyses to evaluate and enhance gimbal performance through simulations and field trials.
- Develop mathematical models for gimbal systems and perform parameter identification.
- Engage in continuous research on state-of-the-art tracking methodologies for unmanned systems.
- Oversee the development of embedded software solutions for real-time gimbal control.
- Contribute to technical reports and mentor junior personnel.
Knowledge/Qualifications & Experience:
- Minimum 8+ years of experience in control systems engineering focused on gimbal stabilization, electric drives, and embedded software.
- Master’s or PhD in electrical engineering, control systems, or a relevant field.
- Expert knowledge of PID controllers, state-space, and modern control algorithms relevant to gimbal stabilization.
- Proficiency in the design and integration of electric drives including brushless DC motors.
- Experience using MATLAB/Simulink for modeling control systems.
- Ability to analyze system performance data for design improvements.
