IT Operations Manager, Data Center

About the Job
The IT Operations Manager at Alibaba Cloud will be responsible for the daily operation maintenance and service management of the data center. The role involves balancing service quality, efficiency, cost, and safety to support the department's business operations. Key responsibilities include managing risk events, handling emergency faults, establishing relationships with local governmental departments, and ensuring compliance with operational requirements. Additionally, the individual will oversee on-site technical support for business equipment, facilitate operation projects, and contribute to talent development and team management within the operation and maintenance team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
• 3+ years of experience in managing large-scale data center operations (10+MW) with a team size of over 15 individuals.
• Deep knowledge of Data Center IT Operations and cloud technologies.
• Understanding of IT service delivery principles and best practices.
• Strong problem analysis, critical thinking skills, and self-management capabilities.
• Familiarity with data center construction procedures.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally (25% to 50%+ at times).
• Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
• Fluent in English; Bilingual in Mandarin Chinese or Arabic is a plus for coordinating with HQ in China.

This role is based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, and requires a dynamic individual capable of driving optimization and improvement in data center operations.
