IT Operations Manager, Data Center

Alibaba Cloud is seeking an IT Operations Manager for its Data Center in Dubai, UAE. This role is essential for ensuring the efficient operation and service management of the computer room under your jurisdiction. You will balance service quality, efficiency, cost, and safety while continuously optimizing to support business operations.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily operation maintenance and service management within the data center, ensuring quality and efficiency aligned with business needs.
• Respond to and manage Ali IDC risk events and emergency faults, minimizing operation risks associated with changes and faults in the data center.
• Build effective relationships with local government authorities, ensuring compliance with operational requirements.
• Provide on-site technical support for business equipment, understand network structures, and facilitate the execution of operational projects within teams.
• Lead team development initiatives, including talent cultivation, risk management, team culture, and operations assessment for the on-site maintenance team.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in large global data center operations (10+MW), with management experience leading teams of over 15 individuals.
• Strong knowledge of Data Center IT Operations and cloud technologies.
• Familiarity with IT service delivery principles and best practices.
• Highly driven and self-managed with strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
• Understanding of data center construction processes.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as needed (25% to 50%+ at times).
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
• Fluency in English is mandatory; proficiency in Mandarin Chinese or Arabic is advantageous for coordinating with the headquarters in China.
