About the Job
The Amazon Web Services (AWS) Data Center Operations Security Team is seeking a highly talented and motivated Physical Security Program Manager (SPM) to join our team. The position is responsible for the design, installation, and integration of security systems including Access Control/Intrusion Detection and CCTV Surveillance systems. The ideal candidate will work across all related disciplines, managing technology research, system design, oversight of construction and implementation, as well as maintenance and upgrades over the system's life.

The SPM is a key member of the EMEA Security team, supervising compliance with physical security standards and managing various Physical Security Projects. They will also serve on cross-functional teams and be recognized as a Subject Matter Expert in all facets of Physical Security. Success will be measured by the development, implementation, and commissioning of standardized security infrastructure systems for the AWS region, focusing on customer service quality, access control effectiveness, and the protection of our data, employees, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical leadership for large-scale security engineering projects.
  • Coordinate security system design specifications and change management between internal teams and external vendors.
  • Ensure compliance with physical security project standards, scopes of work, budgets, and timelines.
  • Design, develop, and implement solutions for system installations, upgrades, repairs, and changes.
  • Support commissioning of security system equipment and complete final test and acceptance.
  • Build and deploy training programs for users of physical security systems.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of program or project management experience.
  • 3+ years experience working cross-functionally with tech and non-tech teams.
  • 3+ years experience defining and implementing process improvement initiatives using data and metrics.
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel (Pivot Tables, VLookUps) and SQL.
  • Experience in defining program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience driving end-to-end delivery and communicating results to senior leadership.
  • 3+ years of experience driving process improvements.
  • Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at various levels of the organization.
  • Experience in building processes, project management, and scheduling.
