The Global Services, Security (GSS) team at Amazon Web Services (AWS) focuses on establishing scalable security solutions for both internal and external customers. This role is centered on securing workloads while building reliable security outcomes and automating mechanisms for our customers.
As a Senior Security Architect for Digital Sovereignty, you will be pivotal in advising and delivering strategic security and compliance outcomes across various environments. Your responsibilities will include leading and evolving the security and compliance strategy for digital sovereignty opportunities, driving changes with customers and internal teams, and developing security strategies that garner support for innovative solutions.
This high-visibility position will serve as the security interface with customers and service teams, requiring collaboration with AWS Sales and Solutions Architect teams. You will manage senior stakeholders and help customers integrate AWS security controls into their frameworks while enhancing their security posture.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead conversations on security, risk, and compliance with AWS customers and partners.
- Manage diverse senior stakeholders within customer environments to achieve consensus and desired outcomes.
- Advise customers on integrating AWS security controls into their own frameworks.
- Drive strategic customer outcomes while complying with sovereignty requirements.
- Resolve complex security concerns through strategic discussions and demonstrations.
- Act as a thought leader by developing customer-facing resources addressing sovereignty needs.
- Influence AWS product roadmaps based on customer feedback and compliance needs.

Basic Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in technology domains (e.g., software development, cloud computing).
- 3+ years of experience in design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructure.
- 10+ years of experience in IT development or consulting within software or Internet industries.
Preferred Qualifications
- UAE National with Family Book.
- 5+ years of experience in specific technology domains.
- Knowledge of AWS services and industry verticals.
- Strong communication skills in English and other languages are desirable.
