As a Solutions Architect at Amazon Web Services (AWS), you will build technical relationships with customers of all sizes and operate as their trusted advisor, ensuring they get the most out of the cloud at every stage of their journey. The role will be based in Dubai and may require approximately 20% of your time for travel to other countries in the MENAT area for customer visits.
Key Job Responsibilities
- Manage the overall technical relationship between AWS and our customers, making recommendations on security, cost, performance, reliability, and operational efficiency to accelerate challenging projects.
- Educate customers on the value proposition of AWS and participate in architectural discussions to ensure successful deployment in the cloud.
- Build a technical relationship with customers, operating as their trusted advisor, and advocating for their best interests internally.
- Share customer needs and wants to inform the AWS feature roadmap.
- Participate in the creation and sharing of best practices, technical content, and new reference architectures (e.g., whitepapers, code samples, blog posts).
- Evangelize and educate about AWS through workshops, user groups, meetups, public speaking, online videos, or conferences.
- Contribute to the growth of the Solutions Architecture organization by hiring, coaching, and mentoring others.
- Develop areas of depth in technical domains relevant to your interests and customers' outcomes.
A Day in the Life
You will work closely with account managers to help ISV customers accelerate their cloud implementation and modernize their business on AWS. By transforming existing workloads, you will design modern target architectures optimized for business agility, innovation, performance, resiliency, cost, security, and more using both native and partner solutions.
Our teams focus on understanding customers’ key business drivers and existing application architectures to deliver robust cloud architecture recommendations that can scale as their business requires.
About the Team
The AWS ISV Solutions Architecture team is dedicated to working with software companies, helping customers design and build scalable, flexible, and resilient cloud architectures cost-efficiently to enable them to expand their business globally.
Basic Qualifications
- 6+ years of experience in technology domain areas (e.g., software development, cloud computing, systems engineering).
- 3+ years of design, implementation, or consulting experience in applications and infrastructures.
- A technical degree (Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or equivalent) or relevant tech experience.
- Business-level English communication skills, both written and verbal.
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with software companies and prior experience in enterprise cloud adoption.
- Knowledge of cloud-native design patterns, DevOps practices, and AWS services.
- Experience with common enterprise regulations and compliance standards.
- Public speaking experience and a passion for creating technical content.
- Business-level Arabic communication skills, both written and verbal.
